It’s time for the Fall 2023 FabFitFun box!
As a reminder, annual subscribers can choose all of their items. Seasonal subscribers are still limited to only being able to choose from the first three categories.
I am an annual member and chose each item in my box. I definitely feel the boxes are more fit for me, and I have less items that I don’t want.
Overall I’m happy with the items that I chose this fall, though I feel the boxes have been very beauty-heavy lately and I have so much to get use up still.
I also feel a little rushed when it comes time to choose since some items sell out within minutes. I try to keep my eye on the spoilers that are released and plan ahead with a backup choice, as well. This season I was able to get everything I wanted, including a few add ons.
For those not familiar with FabFitFun, I’ll try to explain how it all works and answer any questions you might have. If you already know the deal, then skip on ahead to check out all of the items!
Table of Contents
What Is FabFitFun?
FabFitFun is a women’s lifestyle subscription box that ships quarterly. Each box is curated for the season and contains fashion, beauty, home, travel, fitness, food items, and more!
They used to include a magazine, but I think it’s all online now. I spend way too much time online as it is, so as much as I usually enjoy the magazine, I probably won’t read it on the website.
Can You Customize Your FabFitFun Box?
Yes, there are multiple ways to customize you box including the standard box choices, adding on box choices, and by shopping add-on’s, Boost My Box and Refills.
Just be aware that customization closes before boxes start to ship so you may have to wait until the next box to be able to customize.
Standard Box Choices
Each quarter, subscribers get to choose some or all of the items they will receive. If you become an annual subscriber, you get to customize your entire box now. Seasonal members usually get to choose items from 3 categories.
Additional Box Choices
I also love that most quarters, FabFitFun allows you to add on additional choice items for much lower than the original cost.
Add On’s and Boost My Box
In addition to being able to add on additional choice items, FabFitFun also opens a window of time where you can purchase add-ons for significantly lower prices than the retail cost.
Annual subscribers get access first and usually the best stuff is sold out right away. But it’s always worth checking out multiple times as people have a few days to change their minds and update their carts before they are charged.
The Boost My Box option is still pretty new. It’s an option to add 1 of 3 “luxury” items to your box for a discounted rate. I didn’t choose to boost my box this season.
If you choose to become a seasonal member, an extra perk of buying an additional choice item or add-on items, is that your FabFitFun box will be shipped in the first wave, after annual subscribers.
** Keep in mind that the window to customize your items closes before boxes ship. If you sign up after the window is closed, you won’t get to choose items until the next season’s box.
How Much Does FabFitFun Cost?
FabFitFun is regularly $59.99 a quarter. Each box contains over $200.00 in items (usually well over)! You can also pay for a year (4 boxes) upfront for a total of $219.99 which saves you $20.00 over the year and also gives you additional benefits including:
- complete customization
- access to add-ons before anyone else
- earlier shipping

Now that we got through all of that, let’s see what’s in this season’s box!
FabFitFun Fall 2023 Review
Please keep in mind that some items will vary and that you will not have the ability to choose items at this time. The window to choose items is only open for a short period of time, before boxes start shipping out.
Note: the first box when you join is usually a Member’s Picks Box (or something similar) which may or may not contain some of these items. There has also been a bit of customization available with this intro box, as well.
Living Proof® Triple Bond Complex ($45.00)
This category did have a good variety of items and I was a bit torn or what to choose, so I ended up purchasing two add on’s which I will share after I go through my first choices for each category.
I’m on a mission to get my hair healthier, now that my doctor is helping me get my hormones balanced again. I’ve read great things about this brand and about the Triple Bond Complex being comparable to Olaplex, so I decided to give it a go.
The brush in this photo is my choice from the third category. The details for it are listed below.
Hopefully it will help mend some of the chlorine damage from spending so many days in the pool this summer.
This product is made in the U.S.A.
Alex And Ani Emerald Flex Cuff Bracelet ($45.00)
In this second category, I ended up adding on a second item, as well.
The first item I picked was this Alex and Ani bracelet. I love their bracelets, but lost the one I had.
This one is really pretty with two tiny emeralds on each end. It seems to be of the same quality as other bracelets from this brand. There are several reviews on their website stating the stones fell out, so we will see how it holds up.
I believe all of their jewelry is made in the U.S.A.
Living Proof® Smoothing Boar Bristle Hair Brush ($45.00)
I didn’t really love any of the options in this category, but my current boar bristle brush has seen better days.
If I had not chosen this, I would have picked a candle from Free People.
The brush is actually really pretty. It’s also a little bigger than my current one which is nice.
This product is made in China.
Pudus Over The Knee Socks ($25.00)
Again, this category wasn’t too exciting, but I do love cozy tall socks to wear with boots in the fall.
I’ve never heard of this brand, but these socks are super soft and really long. They will be perfect for slouching even with taller boots.
I also added on an item from this category.
The socks are made in China.
Frank Body Cacao Coffee Scrub ($20.00)
This was my least favorite category this month.
I don’t really care for any of the choices, even though I do love a good body scrub.
I’ve used Frank’s before and while it smells great and does a good job, it’s SUPER messy. You basically have to clean your shower out completely after you use it. Thankfully, we now have a removable shower head which makes it a ton easier.
This product is made in the U.S.A.
Verb Ghost Prep Heat Protectant ($20.00)
I have the Verb Ghost Oil and love it, so I was happy to see another product from this brand to try.
I don’t use leave in conditioners as much as I used to, but because the oil worked so well for my hair, I’m definitely going to give this one a try.
Had this not been an option in this last category, I wouldn’t have wanted anything else. The other choices were a green fanny pack, a body lotion, a highlighter, and a rollerball perfume from a brand I haven’t liked in the past.
This product is made in the USA.
Fall 2023 Add On’s
All of the add on’s that I purchased this season were additional items from the 6 categories available to pick from this season. I did not add on anything from the add on’s store. It just doesn’t seem like there is as many brand name, or higher end brands, available lately.
Little Korboose Woven Throw Blanket In Rust ($60.00)
I paid $15.00 to add on this throw.
Honestly, the last thing I needed was another blanket, but this one goes so well in my office that I decided to get it anyway.
I will say it’s a little rough, but that will deter my kids from stealing this one – they claim all my super soft blankets as soon as they lay their little eyes on them!
This product is made in India.
Murad® Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture ($83.00)
I paid $15.00 to add on this moisturizer.
I wasn’t going to get beauty products if I could help it, but a basic face lotion is actually something that I don’t have a stash of and I read really good reviews about this one.
Murad isn’t the most exciting brand, but I really like their products and feel they generally work really well for me.
This product is made in the U.S.A.
GLOW Recipe Plum Plump™ Hyaluronic Acid Serum ($45.00)
I paid $15.00 to add on this serum.
Here I am again with more beauty product, but I’ve used this hyaluronic acid before and love it. I bought it simply to save money on paying full price for a new bottle the next time I need to replenish.
You can read my Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum Review here.

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser ($24.00)
I paid $10.00 to add on this cleanser.
Again, I wasn’t going to choose or buy beauty products, but I was running very low on cleanser when I added this. I ended up having to buy one before my box arrived, so this will be my backup.
I will say that I really like this brand. I can’t remember if I’ve ever used their cleanser before, but other products have worked really well.
This product is made in the U.S.A.
FabFitFun Fall 2023 Final Thoughts
Overall I’m pretty indifferent about this box. As usual, the choices were beauty-heavy, but at least a couple of the items I really needed so it didn’t feel like I was contributing as much to my current beauty product stash.
I do think there were plenty of fall-inspired choices that weren’t beauty, as well. Only the blanket and socks really matched my style though.
I am still contemplating canceling this subscription and trying to find one that isn’t as beauty-heavy. If you know of any, let me know in the comments!
Since reviews are just a matter of personal opinion, let’s talk about value of the Spring 2023 FabFitFun box.
- Is this seasons box worth the money that I paid for it? In my opinion, yes. I received $200.00 worth of items that I got to choose, although I am sure some are inflated, and an additional $211.00 worth of products for $55.00. For me, what makes a box “worth it” is if I will use the large majority of the products and this season I will use all of them.
- Next, does this box fit the season? I think there were plenty of items to choose from that have a fall vibe to them. The throw and socks are two I choose. I remember there was a scarf and a candle, as well.
- Does this box hit on Fab, Fit, and Fun? My answer is usually the same. There are always plenty of “fab” and “fun” items, but the “fit” section is usually lacking. This season there was a jumprope and a meditation app subscription.
