Why am I posting a winter 2021 Alltrue, review at the end of winter in 2022? Because shipping was majorly delayed, partially depending on which items you chose for your box.
Lucky me to choose all the items with delays.
I literally got my Spring 2022 FabFitFun box the day after this one. To say it’s disappointing to get winter items when spring is about to well, spring, is an understatement.
To make matters worse, one of the items that I got is not what I chose AND Alltrue recently raised their prices, as well.
I think I’m only 2 boxes into my yearly subscription, so we’ll see how it goes for the duration. They claim to be making improvements to prevent this from happening again.
For those not familiar with Alltrue, I’ll explain how this membership works and answer any questions you might have. If you already know the deal, then skip on ahead to check out all of the items that came in my box, as well as the other items you can choose from.
Table of Contents
What Is Alltrue?
Alltrue is a women’s lifestyle subscription box that ships quarterly. Each box is curated for the season and contains 5-8 sustainable, ethical products that can be fashion, beauty, home, travel, and fitness related.
Can You Customize Your Alltrue Box?
Yes.
Annual members, or those who pay for a year’s membership upfront, can customize their entire box.
Seasonal members, or those who pay quarterly, can customize up to 3 items for each box.
Choice +
If you are having a hard time deciing on which choice item to choose for your box, Alltrue now offers the ability to add multiple items from each category for an addiitonal low members-only price.
Add On Market
Each quarter, Alltrue opens a window of time where members can purchase add-ons for significantly lower prices, up to 70% off, than the retail cost.
The Add On Market contains over 800 additional items that can be purchased around the same time that you curate your box. These name-brand household items range from everything from toiletries to accessories and so much more!
Add On’s are currently shipping separate from the seasonal Alltrue box.
Alltrue also has an Essential Shop which is open year-round. This shop is filled with everyday items and orders ship within 2 business days.
How Much Does Alltrue Cost?
Alltrue raised thier price to $59.95 a quarter. Each box contains over $250.00 in items (the Welcome Box will contain over $120.00 in items). You can also pay for a year (4 boxes) upfront for a total of $219.80 which saves you $20.00 over the year and also gives you the ability to curate your entire box.
The Welcome Box is free with an annual membership and $25.00 with a seasonal membership.
Each box comes with a 48 page abridged version of Alltrue’s magazine, All Good Things. You have the option to upgrade to a 100+ page version each quarter.
Shipping is free for all members within the Contiguous U.S., and $7.95 for those in Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. Territories and Canada.
Now that we got through all of that, let’s see what’s in this box!
Winter 2022 Alltrue Box Review
I was able to curate every item in the box.
I will also tell you what other items you may have chosen or received.
Vahdam India Variety Tea Tin Set ($40.00)
Never did I think I’d chose tea over cozy slipper, but alas…
I absolutely love chai tea and this brand’s masala chai is one of my all time favorites. Plus, my husband bought me three pairs of slippers like this recently so it’s not like I’m realllly missing out.
The tea bags don’t look like there’s much tea in them, but the flavor is incredible. I don’t typically drink plain tea, but my husband does so we both got a tin of tea out of my box this month!
The other items members could choose from include:
- Pudus Life Recycled Classic Slipper Socks ($27.99)
- Be Home Set of 4 Dip Bowls ($40.00)
- Symbiosis London Luxury Anti-Aging Skincare Set ($232.00??)
This tea is made in India.
Graf Lantz Carry-On Travel Weekender ($158.00)
As soon as I saw this bag, I wanted it. It’s made of canvas and faux leather.
I don’t travel as much as I used to, but this would make a great carry on piece of luggage. Having two kids and with life returning closer to normal, I figured I’d get plenty of use out of this bag regardless.
It feels very nicely made and there’s plenty of room inside.
The other choice items in this category are:
- Small:Hours Set of 2 Hinged Steel Containers ($50.00)
- Comma Home Plush Throw Blanket ($58.00)
- SiiZU Cozy Poncho Wrap ($110.00)
- Yuna Yoga Foldable Yoga Mat ($85.00)
It’s disappointing to find out that this bag is made in China. For the record, I am not opposed to items being made in other countries, however, it’s well known that the cost of making goods in China is much lower than here and the retail prices are often heavily inflated. Not to mention, that for a company who prides themselves on sustainability and so on, Chinese made items might not be the most ethical choices.
This bag is also an Alltrue exclusive where it was designed in conjunction with Graf Lantz, but the production was overseen by Alltrue.
Jules Kae Pom Beanie ($48.00)
While I absolutely love this hat and how soft it is, I have no idea why I chose it. I have a similar hat already and I even added on another item from this category!
Regardless, the hat is super soft and super cute. I’ll definitely wear it, but likely not until next year since the weather is already warming up.
The other options that members can choose from include:
- Lark & Ives Continental Snap Wallet ($56.00)
- Territory Design Table Runner ($42.00) – I added this one. More on this item is further down.
Unfortunately this hat was also made in China.
Karma Organic Festive Nail Polish Bundle ($21.99)
I only chose this name polish because I thought I might like the blue shade. Unfortunately it’s almost identical to another I have.
This is an item I may gift or trade. I didn’t really want either of the other two choice items either.
The other items members can choose from in this category are:
- The Brow Atelier Revitalizing Brow Enhancing Serum ($70.00)
- Luio Bar Eucalyptus Shower Steamers ($22.00)
On the bright side, the nail polish is made in the USA.
Net Zero Co. Dozen Silicone Baking Cups ($15.99)
I chose silicone baking cups, yet there is a photo of laundry spray. Yep.
There was no notice that any of my items were not available or being substituted so at this point I am assuming that an error was made when packaging my box.
I was super disappointed to see laundry spray. I never use this kinda of stuff and odds are it will sit around for a year or two before it’s finally used up or thrown out. Though, maybe I can convince my athlete teenager to keep some in his sports bag.
I did reach out to Alltrue on a Thursday evening and did not hear back by end of day Friday. They claim to typically get back to emails within a day. I doubt they will respond over the weekend.
The other choice items in this category is:
- Woozies Laundry & Linen Spray Set ($16.99)
- Mudmasky Melting Mud Cleansing Mask ($59.99)
The linen spray is made in India. The baking cups are another made in China item.
Natura’s Castanha Hand & Foot Creams ($36.00)
I love these hand and foot creams! They are made with brazil nuts and have a light, nutty scent to them.
The tubes are both a good size for hand and foot creams.
These will both definitely get used.
The other choice item in this category was:
- La Mano Treasure Earrings ($49.00)
These creams are made in Brazil.
Add-On’s
Territory Table Runner ($42.00)
I added this on because the runner I have on a sideboard table in our dinner room is way too long and hangs over so far on both sides. Plus the dark blue matches the room perfectly.
I was worried it would a shiny fabric from the photos that I saw, but it’s not at all. It’s also thicker than I expected and feels well-made.
This item is made in India.
Winter 2022 Alltrue Subscription Box Final Thoughts
I absolutely love that as an annual subscriber I can choose most, if not all, of the items in my box. This *usually* ensures that I am getting products that I will actually use or plan to gift and am not wasting money.
Unfortunately the mix-up or substitution of the baking cups with a laundry spray was disappointing as I may not even use the spray, but definitely would use the baking cups.
While I wish every item could be made in the USA, the simple truth is that most manufacturing doesn’t happen here. I do wish it wasn’t China though as I feel we never really know what truly happening there. I can only hope that because Alltrue chooses products that are not only good for you, but also good for the environment that the brands in each box are using ethical manufacturers.
Since product reviews are mostly just a matter of personal opinion, let’s talk about value of the Winter Alltrue box.
- Is this seasonal box worth it? In my opinion, yes. You will receive over $250.00 worth of items, 2 of which you get to choose with a seasonal membership, all/most of which you get to choose with an annual membership. For me, what really makes a box “worth it” is if I will use the large majority of the products. Obviously, if you are choosing some or all your own items, then you already know if you will be using them or possibly even gifting them. My box has a value of $319.98 (with the baking cups value).
- Next, does this box fit the season? I would say some. The hat for sure is a winter item and the hand and foot cream definitely ebenfit dry winter skin, but I’ll use them in spring and summer too. Laundry spray, nail polish and a weekender bag are pretty much good any time of the year. Baking cups would be great in the fall and winter, had I gotten them and had I gotten my box in the winter.
Overall, I’m still happy with my box. I’m hoping Alltrue sorts out their shipping and warehouse issues and that I hear back from customer service soon. I’ll be happier to find out that it was a simple mistake rather than them substituting items without any notice.

I did like many of their products…. and then…They completely ripped me off. I paid out over $500 for two years subscription and some additional items. They then closed and sent nothing. Even worse, they came back and said they would honor all orders unless you paid using PayPal. Paypal subscribers were told they were out of luck. But they WOULD allow us to keep ordering from them and send email reminders once a month. Because I need a monthly reminder that I was scammed. Don’t risk it!

I was one of those unlucky Paypal subscribers. Paypal would not refund my yearly subscription, but did refund an $11 add-on because it was a more recent charge. I’m not going back. I still subscribe to FabFitFun though.
