Here are the outfit choices available for June 2020 at Ellie. You can head over to the Ellie website to choose which outfit you want (or sign up for a new membership).
I was torn between Coastal Cool, Roll the Dye, and Emerald Tide but I finally settled on Roll the Dye. You can see that one, as well as the additional items that came with it below.
Which are you going to choose?
What Is Ellie?
Let’s first talk about what Ellie actually is. It’s a monthly activewear subscription with the option to just get the activewear or activewear and accessories and equipment.
You get to choose your outfit from at least 10-12 different options, with some being repeats from prior months.
There is also the ability shop previous collections (it does cost a bit more and only includes the clothing) and must have essentials that are all marked down significantly.
How Does Ellie Work?
Ellie chooses and outfit for you each month, but you have the ability to go in and change it or skip the month all together. You just need to log in between the 1st and the 4th of the month to do so.
I have not received any reminder emails to do this. So far, I’ve just remembered to check on the 1st of the month because I’m so excited to see what’s new, but it might be a good idea to set a reminder on your calendar.
How Much Does An Ellie Subscription Cost?
There are 3 different subscription options:
- The 2-Item plan is $39.95 a month and includes a top and bottoms.
- The 3-Item plan is $44.95 a month and includes a top, bottoms, and a sports bra.
- The 5-Item plan is $49.95 a month and includes a top, bottoms, a sports bra, and 2 pieces of accessories or equipment (like dry towels, a sports bag, workout bands etc.)
Remember, your first outfit is 25% off, regardless of which subscription you choose.
For me, it made sense to sign up for the 5-Item plan because I knew I wanted the 3 pieces of clothing. It’s only $5.00 more for the 2 additional items.
This is considerably less than other fitness wear subscriptions, so the question becomes, “How’s the quality?”
June 2020 Ellie Subscription Review
3″ Tummy Control Hottie Shorts – Jessica Simpson
So, this month I sized down to medium for the shorts and tee AND tried a new brand!
This outfit looked so cute in the previews, so I had to try it. Plus, I don’t have many workout shorts.
These shorts are really soft, just like every set that I’ve gotten through Ellie. They have what’s called a Power Mesh waistband (assuming that’s the tummy control) and a hidden pocket in the waistband for keys and/or your phone.
I have yet to try them on, but will update this section soon on how they fit and function.
Toni Seamless Sports Bra – Jessica Simpson
The material of this sports bra is very different than the shorts. It’s definitely not as soft, but still seems as though it will be comfortable.
This is a low impact sports bra, so I won’t be using this one for running. I do love the fun laser cut out in the back.
Once I try this one and use it, I’ll update this section.
Dusk Tee – Jessica Simpson
This tee shirt is really cute with the cut out back that shows off the unique back of the sports bra. Ellie often has designs like this and I just love them!
The material is really nice and seems to be well made.
Once I try it out, I’ll update this section.
Klean Freak Refreshing Body Wipes
This month one of the additional items, if you subscribe to the 5-item box, was 2 packs of these Klean Freak wipes. Each pack contains 3 wipes in 3 different scents.
These are really great if you’re working out outdoors and need to run a few errands afterwards, or maybe after a day at the beach before heading to dinner.
I love that these are so useful!
Plantar Fasciitis Shoe Insoles
I’m not too excited about show insoles, but I’ll give these a try. I have noticed when I run outside with my son once a week, my feet hurt way more than if I’m running on the treadmill.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I absolutely love Ellie. This outfit is really cute and fun and it’s nice to see brand names in these boxes for a fraction of their retail price.
I’m looking forward to seeing the choices for July!
