It’s time for the winter 2022 FabFitFun box! As a reminder, annual subscribers can choose all of their items. Seasonal subscribers are still limited to only being able to choose from the first three categories.
I am an annual member and chose each item in my box. I definitely feel the boxes are more fit for me, and I have less items that I don’t want.
This winter box ended up being very beauty-heavy, once again, due to the choice options and what I thought I’d use. I prefer to choose as much non-beauty items as possible, but the couple of boxes, I leaned strongly towards beauty.
That’s not to say that I didn’t choose some cozy, winter items as well. I definitely did!
For those not familiar with FabFitFun, I’ll try to explain how it all works and answer any questions you might have. If you already know the deal, then skip on ahead to check out all of the items!
What Is FabFitFun?
FabFitFun is a women’s lifestyle subscription box that ships quarterly. Each box is curated for the season and contains fashion, beauty, home, travel, fitness, food items, and more!
Each season, they also include a magazine explaining all of the items and how to use some of them. It’s actually one subscription box insert that I find really helpful and entertaining.
Can You Customize Your FabFitFun Box?
Yes, there are multiple ways to customize you box including the standard box choices, adding on box choices, and by shopping add-on’s, Boost My Box and Refills.
Just be aware that customization closes before boxes start to ship so you may have to wait until the next box to be able to customize.
Standard Box Choices
Each quarter, subscribers get to choose some or all of the items they will receive. If you become an annual subscriber, you get to customize your entire box now. Seasonal members usually get to choose items from 3 categories.
Additional Box Choices
I also love that most quarters, FabFitFun allows you to add on additional choice items for much lower than the original cost.
Add On’s and Boost My Box
In addition to being able to add on additional choice items, FabFitFun also opens a window of time where you can purchase add-ons for significantly lower prices than the retail cost.
Annual subscribers get access first and usually the best stuff is sold out right away. But it’s always worth checking out multiple times as people have a few days to change their minds and update their carts before they are charged.
The Boost My Box option is still pretty new. It’s an option to add 1 of 3 “luxury” items to your box for a discounted rate. I didn’t choose to boost my box this season.
If you choose to become a seasonal member, an extra perk of buying an additional choice item or add-on items, is that your FabFitFun box will be shipped in the first wave, after annual subscribers.
** Keep in mind that the window to customize your items closes before boxes ship. If you sign up after the window is closed, you won’t get to choose items until the next season’s box.
How Much Does FabFitFun Cost?
FabFitFun is regularly $59.99 a quarter. Each box contains over $200.00 in items (usually well over)! You can also pay for a year (4 boxes) upfront for a total of $219.99 which saves you $20.00 over the year and also gives you additional benefits including:
- complete customization
- access to add-ons before anyone else
- earlier shipping

FabFitFun Winter 2022 Review
Please keep in mind that some items will vary and that you will not have the ability to choose items at this time. The window to choose items is only open for a short period of time, before boxes start shipping out.
Note: the first box when you join is usually a Member’s Picks Box (or something similar) which may or may not contain some of these items. There has also been a bit of customization available with this intro box, as well.
The box always comes with a magazine which discusses the items and other related topics, as well as information about an organization they are supporting.
It’s one of the only inserts that I actually enjoy reading. There are also discount codes in the back for some brands that FabFitFun features.
Haps Mood Care Middle Seat Ceramic Vessel with Scented Candle Refill ($70.00)
This category did have a good amount of non-beauty items, but I wasn’t really interested in anything. Thankfully FabFitFun added this candle to the choices a day or two into the choice window.
It’s a really nice candle, but mine does have something on it near the logo that I can’t get off. It’s also a very strong floral scent that I really wasn’t expecting. In fact, I could have swore I changed it to the Bee Sting scent, but my account does say Middle Seat.
This seems to be a FabFitFun-owned brand.
I have no idea if I’m going to keep this. The scent is a bit much for me and I seriously doubt my husband is going to enjoy it.
This product is made in India.
Perricone MD Cold Plasma + Eye Advanced Eye Cream ($110.00)
I really had no choice but to go with a beauty product in this category. The only other options were electronics which I have had terrible luck with when buying from FabFitFun, a rolling pin, and some kind of back stretcher.
This is actually probably a very good eye cream. The brand is one that I feel is higher end, although they did send us some nearly expired lipstick once in a Boxycharm box.
I haven’t tried this yet as I am a little more than overstocked on eye creams, and most other beauty products.
This product is made in the USA.
TruffLuv Truffle Mask ($22.00)
I almost chose a pill case in this category. Yep. A pill case.
After reading the other choice descriptions a little closer, I ended up choosing the Truffle Mask, which I initially thought was a face mask.
I’ve been very picky lately about what I put in my hair, but this one has keratin, so I decided to give it a go.
It could end up being a little more fun than a tiny plastic box with compartments.
This product is made in the Israel.
Chinese Laundry Slippers ($39.95)
I was so happy to see cozy slippers with a harder bottom in this box.
I’ve only had soft-bottomed slippers for the last couple of years and they wear out so quickly on the hard floors in our homes. I wear them all the time.
I have had these on since I unboxed them. They are super soft and comfortable.
I got size M/L and they fit just right. I am size 7 1/2.
I’m not sure where these are made – I ripped the tags out and threw them away before checking.
Chic and Tonic Snowflake Mug ($18.00)
There were all beauty items in this category except for a pair of scrunchies and this mug.
It’s a cute mug. Did I need it? No. Did I really want it? Not really.
But I did use it the same day I unpacked it, so there’s that.
This product is made in China.
Ouai Detox Shampoo and Scalp Scrubber ($40.00)
The last category was also extremely heavy on beauty. The only non-beauty item was a basic, cream-colored winter hat.
But, I was able to snag an Ouai Detox Shampoo, which I had just ran out of and absolutely love.
I’ve actually loved everything I’ve tried from this brand.
Sad to say, but this much loved, but still a repeat, item and the slippers is what saved this box for me.
This product is made in the USA.
Spring 2022 Add On’s
Being that I am feeling smothered by the excess “things” I need to use up, sell or donate, I decided to hold off on add-ons this season.
FabFitFun Winter 2022 Final Thoughts
I think it’s obvious that I wasn’t thrilled with the majority of the choices this season.
In all honesty, I am pretty much on subscription box overload. I canceled Boxycharm and Allure several months back and will likely cancel FabFitFun at the end of this subscription.
I have way too many beauty products to use up, don’t trust their in-house brands (especially electronics), and have pretty much everything I need when it comes to the non-beauty, non-electrical items they put in the boxes over and over again.
Maybe after a long break, I’ll come back, but I am pretty certain this will be the end for now. I think I have one more box left.
Since reviews are just a matter of personal opinion, let’s talk about value of the Winter 2022 FabFitFun box.
- Is this seasons box worth the $45.00 that I paid for it ($49.99 for seasonal subscribers)? In my opinion, yes. I received $295.00 worth of items that I got to choose, although I am sure some are very inflated (especially the candle). For me, what makes a box “worth it” is if I will use the large majority of the products.
- Next, does this box fit the season? When I laid all my items out to take the final photos, I definitely felt they had a cohesive, wintery, cozy vibe.
- Does this box hit on Fab, Fit, and Fun? My answer is usually the same. There are always plenty of “fab” and “fun” items, but the “fit” section is usually lacking. This season there was the back stretcher.
