There is no better trash talk, then beauty empties! See what beauty products I used up this month as well as a brief review and the best places to purchase each one online.

I was actually making YouTube videos for my beauty empties, before an unfortunate incident at our home that has left us displaced the past several months.
I love empties videos and have missed making them, even though I am far from an experienced YouTuber!
Hopefully we will be back home soon, but in the meantime, I decided to make a post to share my beauty empties for July and a brief review of each one.
I linked each product to the lowest price that I could find online at the time of this post.
Table of Contents
June 2021 Beauty Empties
1. dpHUE Cool Brunette Shampoo and Conditioner
This blue shampoo and complimenting conditioner from dpHUE is supposed to tone done warm, or orange, tones in brown hair. I haven’t really noticed as much red in my hair lately, so I guess it does work pretty well.
What I really love about these products is how my hair felt super soft and silky after using them.
On the flip side, the shampoo doesn’t really remove as much of the oil as I like, so I was only using this once a week. It also takes quite a bit of product to get a good lather going but these lasted me several months.
I got these for a bit of a steal during a FabFitFun add-ons sale, but would totally pay full price for them!
2. Dr. Brandt Do Not Age Triple Peptide Eye Cream
I absolutely love this Dr. Brandt eye cream. I definitely feel like it reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
I only use it in the morning, so this tube lasted me several months.
I would say without a doubt that this product is worth every penny.
3. Odacite Blue Aura Cleansing Water
I was really excited to try a micellar water so I opened this cleansing water right after I got it in my Boxycharm box.
I don’t like that it doesn’t really remove makeup completely on its own and should be used as the second step in a double cleanse. I only used it on days that I didn’t wear makeup so it took me a while to go through the bottle.
I prefer one cleanser that takes everything off, like a balm.
With that said, this didn’t irritate my skin at all and it has a pleasant scent.
4. Living Proof Perfect Hair Days Dry Shampoo
Living Proof is a brand that I have been wanting to try more of, so again when this dry shampoo showed up in my summer FabFitFun box, I was happy!
This goes on white, but absorbs oil and dirt really well and shakes out really well too. I have dark brown hair and this didn’t leave the dreaded gray-ish tint on my hair like some other dry shampoos have.
With all that said, I blew threw this can so fast. I only wash my hair twice a week, so the cost of this dry shampoo is a bit high for as much as I use.
I did find it for quite a bit less as Walmart!
5. St. Tropez Classic Self Tan Bronzing Mousse
My all time favorite self tanner is from FakeBake, but this one from St. Tropez is definitely one I would buy again and again.
It goes on nice and even and looks very natural in color, especially on someone with fairly light skin, like I have. I used it about twice a week.
The only area I did notice any patchiness was on my knees as it wore off.
I would highly recommend this!
6. Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion
Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion is a cult classic, or at least I think it should be!
It’s a very fine scrub that leaves your skin feeling so silky smooth. I love it and would highly recommend this product, as well!
7. Lord Jones High CBD Body Lotion
This Lord Jones lotion just didn’t do anything for me at all.
It’s VERY unclear how you are supposed to use this exactly so I just ended up using it like I would regular body lotion.
I didn’t notice any effects at all from the CBD, but again, I have no clue how it’s meant to be used. It only says “apply to the affected area.”
For the price, the 1.69 ounce bottle is a rip off. Or maybe I’m immune to CBD? I have no clue.
8. Earth Harbor Marina
I ended up using this Marina ampoule as a nighttime treatment to keep my skin hydrated.
I love the way it felt on my skin, but it did irritate my eyes a little bit and I found it too oily for daytime use.
I’m trying some other treatments from this brand in hopes of finding something equally as nice for daytime use.
9. This Works! Deep Sleep Pillow Spray
I guess this pillow spray isn’t really a beauty product, but it does help one get their beauty sleep.
This is the only product of its kind that I feel does help me sleep better. I have used the full size bottle before, as well. I just happened to have a sample size that came in an Allure Beauty Box recently.
If you have trouble sleeping, this spray is definitely worth trying.
10. dpHUE ACV Dry Shampoo Powder
Another winner from dhHue! I loved how effective this dry shampoo powder was and how my hair felt after using it.
My only complaint is that is it hard to get the right amount out and in the right places.
It’s priced a bit higher, like the Living Proof one, but this tiny bottle lasted me a lot longer!
Murad Hydration Hydrating Toner
I’m not a huge fan of toner, in general. I never really feel like it’s doing anything, at least visibly.
I do like that this Murad toner comes in a spray bottle though. It made it easy to use, so I was more compliant about adding it to my daily skin care routine.
