It’s time to talk trash again! See what beauty products I used up this month as well as a brief review and the best places to purchase each one online.

I was actually making YouTube videos for my beauty empties, before an unfortunate incident at our home that has left us displaced the past several months.
I love empties videos and have missed making them, even though I am far from an experienced YouTuber!
Hopefully we will be back home soon, but in the meantime, I decided to make posts to share my beauty empties. I did the first one for my June 2021 Empties and this time around I’m sharing my July empties with you.
I linked each product to the lowest price that I could find online at the time of this post.
Table of Contents
July 2021 Beauty Empties
1. Glow Recipe Banana Souffle Moisturizing Cream
I absolutely love this cream and this brand. You can read my full Glow Recipe Banana Souffle Moisturizing Cream Review, if you’d like. I will quickly say that it’s light, but very hydrating and the scent is barely detectable.
2. Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Sleeping Mask
Again, this mask is amazing. I did write a full Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Sleeping Mask Review you can also read, if you’d like.
You will wake up with hydrated, soft and smooth skin when you use this. I also noticed an area of hyperpigmentation is sometimes lighter when I use this mask, even though that’s not listed as one of the benefits.
3. Skin Inc. My Daily Dose of Uplift Serum
Again, I did test this product for an extended period of time before writing a full Skin Inc. My Daily Dose of Uplift Review.
It’s a really nice serum and my skin instantly felt firmer, though I personally prefer the My Daily Dose of Glow Serum for my personal skin needs.
4. Grown Alchemist Mandarin and Rosemary Leaf Body Cream
Grown Alchemist is one of those super pricey brands that you can often get for a huge discount with memberships to subscriptions like Boxycharm or FabFitFun.
This cream does work well, but has a very botanical, herby scent. It doesn’t last too long, but if you are sensitive to smells, I’d skip this one.
5. Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam in Dark
I wanted to like this, because it has a ton of great reviews, but I just had the same issue over and over again.
As I would rub this on with a tanning mitt that came with it, it was almost as if I was rubbing sections off on the inside of my elbows and upper part of the arm.
I have no idea why this was happening. It also left really dark marks on my knees no matter how lightly I applied it. I didn’t even finish this small bottle.
The St. Tropez from my June 2021 Empties post was much better.
6. R+Co Sun Catcher Leave-in Conditioner
I know people love R+Co products but this is the second I’ve tried and I’m just not impressed.
This conditioner wasn’t bad, it just didn’t seem to do anything for my hair. I will say though that my hair doesn’t respond well to a lot of products.
If I were to get this again, I’d pass it along.
7. Davines MOMO Shampoo and Conditioner
I am a huge fan of Davines Oi. Like I mentioned above, my hair is super picky when it comes to products.
I didn’t think this shampoo and conditioner would work because moisturizing products usually make my hair too “pouffy,” but I love how smooth and silky my hair feels when I use this!
I would definitely recommend it!
8. Monat Rejuveniqe Hair Oil
I think I used this once or twice at night before wash day.
There is no good reason that I stopped using it except for the overwhelmingly negative reviews about the Monat brand and how it makes your hair fall out.
The ingredients in this really are just oils, but I have issues with hair loss due to PCOS and a suspected thyroid issue and don’t want to risk anything.
I *might* use it as a skin moisturizer or maybe for my cuticles. It does have a nice citrusy scent.
I had gotten this in a fundraiser raffle, so thankfully I didn’t pay for it.
I am not recommending this product at all due to many negative reports of this brand causing hair loss and the facts it’s a MLM business model.
9. Jecca Blac Liquid Corrector 2.0
I actually really liked this at first. It’s a nice peach color so it covered my dark circles pretty well.
However, it didn’t take long before it got runny and oily. It’s like the entire product changed into something else and it’s no longer useful at all.
10. SkinMedica Instant Bright Eye Mask
These eye masks felt almost dry when I took them out of the package, but I will say they adhered to my face without moving around the entire time and still came off easily.
As for results, it’s kind of hard too say with one use. The skin under my eyes did feel hydrated, but I wouldn’t say it looked brighter.
11. Eyeko Brow Liner
I don’t really use eye brow products. The only reason I kept this brow liner was because I thought I could maybe use it as a brown eyeliner.
I was wrong. It’s way too light.
However, I do have a little sparse area in one of my eyebrows (aging is fun) and it worked great to fill that in without smudging all day.
I think I’m actually going to have to start using something on a regular basis now!
This product is not currently available on Eyeko’s website.
12. The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution
I am pretty much of the mindset that if a toner works, you can’t really tell.
It’s more about if it causing any irritation or sensitivity. This one from The Ordinary does not cause any issues for me, but my skin isn’t very sensitive at all.
If you’d like to know more about this product, check out my The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution Review.
