The Fall 2021 FabFitFun subscription box is the second season that FabFitFun is allowing annual subscribers to choose all of the items in their box. Check out my review as well as all of the items you could choose from if you sign up for your own box. It’s only $49.99 for over $300 worth of on-trend goodies!

I think it’s fair to say that FabFitFun surprised everyone when they recently announced that beginning with the summer 2021 box, annual subscribers could choose all of their items. Seasonal subscribers are still limited to only being able to choose from the first three categories.
Now that we are in our second season of this big change, I think I really love it. I feel that between my box and all of the add-on’s that I chose, I really curated a fall box that fits me.
For those not familiar with FabFitFun, I’ll try to explain how it all works and answer any questions you might have. If you already know the deal, then skip on ahead to check out all of the items!
Table of Contents
What Is FabFitFun?
FabFitFun is a women’s lifestyle subscription box that ships quarterly. Each box is curated for the season and contains fashion, beauty, home, travel, fitness, food items, and more!
Each season, they also include a magazine explaining all of the items and how to use some of them. It’s actually one subscription box insert that I find really helpful and enteraining.
Can You Customize Your FabFitFun Box?
Yes, there are multiple ways to customize you box including the standard box choices, adding on box choices, and by shopping add-on’s, Boost My Box and Refills.
Just be aware that customization closes before boxes start to ship so you may have to wait until the next box to be able to customize.
Standard Box Choices
Each quarter, subscribers get to choose some or all of the items they will receive. If you become an annual subscriber, you get to customize your entire box now. Seasonal members usually get to choose items from 3 categories.
Additional Box Choices
I also love that most quarters, FabFitFun allows you to add on additional choice items for much lower than the original cost.
Add On’s and Boost My Box
In addition to being able to add on additional choice items, FabFitFun also opens a window of time where you can purchase add-ons for significantly lower prices than the retail cost.
Annual subscribers get access first and usually the best stuff is sold out right away. But it’s always worth checking out multiple times as people have a few days to change their minds and update their carts before they are charged.
The Boost My Box option is still pretty new. It’s an option to add 1 of 3 “luxury” items to your box for a discounted rate. I didn’t choose to boost my box this season.
If you choose to become a seasonal member, an extra perk of buying an additional choice item or add-on items, is that your FabFitFun box will be shipped in the first wave, after annual subscribers.
** Keep in mind that the window to customize your items closes before boxes ship. If you sign up after the window is closed, you won’t get to choose items until the next season’s box.
How Much Does FabFitFun Cost?
FabFitFun is regularly $49.99 a quarter. Each box contains over $200.00 in items (usually well over)! You can also pay for a year (4 boxes) upfront for a total of $179.99 which saves you $20.00 over the year and also gives you additional benefits including:
- complete customization
- access to add-ons before anyone else
- earlier shipping
You can save $10.00 off of your first box by CLICKING HERE!
Now that we got through all of that, let’s see what’s in this season’s box!
FabFitFun Fall 2021 Unboxing Video
Unfortunately, I just missed the mark on a video for this unboxing. Life should be back to normal for the next box as we are finally moving back home!
FabFitFun Fall 2021 Review
Please keep in mind that some items will vary and that you will not have the ability to choose items at this time. The window to choose items is only open for a short period of time, before boxes start shipping out.
I will, however, tell you what other items you may receive should you sign up for a subscription before the FabFitFun Summer 2021 box sells out.
Note: if the fall box sells out, the first box will likely be a Member’s Picks Box (or something similar) which may or may not contain some of these items. There has also been a bit of customization available with this intro box, as well.
The box always comes with a magazine which discusses the items and other related topics, as well as information about an organization they are supporting.
It’s one of the only inserts that I actually enjoy reading. There are also discount codes in the back for some brands that FabFitFun features.
Golden Rabbit Dutch Oven 2.5 Qt. ($44.00)
I was really excited to see some cooking items, especially because my primary website is all about sharing recipes and food!
This Dutch oven is a bit smaller than I expected, but will be great for side dishes. It really just feels like the perfect little pot for comfort foods like mac and cheese or soups.
Technically you could cook a meal in there. It’s probably best suited for a smaller main course for 2 people.
This pot is coated in enamel so it should be pretty non-stick, as well.
This product is made in Indonesia.
The other choice items from this category were:
- Amika The Kure Bond Repair Shampoo & Conditioner ($40.00)
- Arhaus Waffle Knit 100% Cotton Throw Blanket ($60.00) See the Add On’s Section for more about this throw.
- Phanton Chef Fry Pan (40.00)
- Blaq Battery Powered Toothbrush ($50.00)
- Uncommon James Set of 2 Copper Canisters ($49.00)
- Uncommon James Set of 2 Silver Canisters ($49.00)
- Pottery Barn Mason Diffuser, Solstice ($40.00)
My kids both love blankets, possibly more than I do. I was having my teenager look through all the options and he immediately asked for the blanket.
I was able to add it on and there is more information under the Add On’s section further down about it.
To add an extra item from this first category, the cost would be $15 per additional item.
Arhaus Copper Candle in Moroccan Spice ($40.00)
I absolutely love this candle! It’s a nice size and smells amazing. It’s a very fall-ish scent and reminds me a lot of my favorite Yankee Candle scent – Harvest.
I plan to clean it out and keep the jar for another use once it’s burned as far as it will go.
This product is made in Vietnam.
The second category that all subscribers could pick from also included:
- Uncommon James Cheeseboard ($60.00)
- Coach Open Circle Necklace and Tea Rose Stud Set ($125.00)
- Arhaus Copper Candle in Evergreen ($40.00)
- Cloudnola Block Clock ($45.00)
- Rodial Pink Diamond Lifting Serum ($135.00)
To add additional items in this category was also $15 per item.
I was tempted to get the cheeseboard because I use them in my food photography often, but the branding changed my mind.
ALTERNA Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture CC Cream ($29.00)
Alterna is a brand that used to show up a lot in subscription boxes several years back. I haven’t received anything in the last year or so until this box.
I recently learned that Alterna is one of the best brands for your hair. Something about the pH level of their products, as well as the ingredients, make it ideal.
None of the other items in this cateogry were of much interest to me, so I’m glad that I was able to get this CC cream.
I think it’s funny that hair care is now marketed as anti-aging, but being that I’m in my 40’s anything is worth a shot.
This product is made in the USA (yay!).
The items that ALL users could choose from also included:
- Camp Gladiator Jump Rope + 3 Months of Camp Gladiator Workouts ($197.00)
- Dose & Co. Pure Collagen ($24.99)
- Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Pore Minimizing Primer ($32.00)
- Stojo Collapsible Cup with 4 Reusable Straws ($31.99)
- Amanda Uprichard Belt Bag ($60.00)
- APL – Athletic Propulsion Labs All-Purpose Packable Backpack ($60.00)
- Vera Bradley Compact Organizer ($50)
- PATTERN Beauty Curl Gel ($25.00)
- Philip Kingsley Finishing Touch Polishing Serum ($34.00) UK ONLY
I believe to add on items in this category was $10 each.
Cocus Pocus Buffalo Check Baseball Cap ($38.00)
I was torn between the hat and the boot socks in this category. In the end, I did get both. I included the socks under the Add On’s heading further down.
This hat really is cute and definitely has a fall vibe to it. I have been going to pumpkin patches and apple orchards long before pumpkin spice and all things fall blew up. This is definitely the hat to wear on those fun occasions.
It always seems to be the sunniest, hottest days of September and October when we go, so this will help keep the sun off my face too.
The only thing that I don’t like is wear the seams meet in the center of the hat. I feel like it should have been lined up a little bit nicer.
This hat is made in China.
Only annual subscribers were able to choose their items in this category. The other choices were:
- FRYE Bamboo Boot Socks – 2 pairs ($24.00) See the Add On’s section for more information about these socks.
- M.A.D Skincare Glycolic Age Diffusing Cleanser ($34.00)
- M.A.D Skincare Delicate Skin Cleansing Gel ($34.00)
- M.A.D Skincare Salicylic Cleansing Gel ($34.00)
- KORRES Renewing Body Cleanser in Santorini Grape ($19.00)
- ELEMIS Papaya Enzyme Peel ($45.00)
I believe to add on items in this category would have been $10 each.
VOESH Pedicure in a Box in Pumpkin Spice ($25.00)
I believe this pedicure set was an option last fall, but it was one of the items that you might have randomly gotten because you weren’t able to choose from the category that it was in at the time.
Because I missed out back then, but really wanted it, I choose it this time around.
It’s such a cute idea for at-home pedicures. Each box comes with 2 packets of a seal salt soak, sugar scrub, mud masque and massage butter.
I have a foot spa and after we finish getting back into our house and unpacking all of these darn boxes, you better believe I am treating myself!
This product is made in Korea.
Only annual subscribers could also choose between the pedicure set or:
- Talking Tables Trivia Box – Food & Drink ($25.00)
- True Moringa Shea & Moringa Balm ($24.00)
- Purlisse Pumpkin + Ginger Mud Mask ($48.00) See the Add ons section for more information about this mask.
- Gloss Moderne Clean Luxury Hair Masque ($55.00)
I was really in a fall mood when I was choosing items from this box. Even though I don’t need it, I added on the Purlisse mask.
If I had known how much I love the Gloss Moderne hair masque, I would have added that on too.
To add on items from this category was $7 each.
Beyond Yoga Infinity Hidden Pocket Scarf ($59.95)
This scarf is another item that was possibly in last fall’s box. I didn’t choose it then, but so many people were raving about how much they love it.
Since I am planning to get back into a routine of walking more, I decided to give it a try. I love that I can use the little hidden pocket for a key, credit card, chapstick etc.
It’s also extrememly soft and thicker than I expected.
This scarf is made in China.
In this final category annual subscribers could choose from 1, 2 or 3 item bundles. There were a ton of choices!
Subscribers could also receive:
- Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm ($68.00)
- REN Clean Skincare Evercalm™ Global Protection Day Cream ($49.00)
- Fekkai Maskology Bundle of the Super Strength Treatment Roots To Ends Mask and the Technician Color Treatment Powerful Flash Mask ($40.00)
- Jenny Bird Austin Cuff ($135.00)
- Beauty Papier Golden Superfood Shower Gel + Makeupdrop Makeup Applicator ($50.00)
- dpHUE Dry Shampoo Powder + Serefina Crystal Cuff Bracelet ($62.00)
- Babe Lash Pro Lash Lifter + Kayo Body Scrubber + Doctor Rogers RESTORE Lip Balm ($50.00)
- Kayo Body Scrubber + Earth Harbor Marina Brightening Ampoule + The 2Bandits Tiered Catchall Tray ($83.00)
- Cali Cosmetics Body Wash – Capri + HIP Lunch Pack + The 2Bandits Tiered Catchall Tray ($67.00)
- Doctor Rogers RESTORE Lip Balm + Beautaniq Beauty Guardian Angel Revitalising Eye Gels + HIP Lunch Pack ($52.00)
- Kayo Body Scrubber + IMAGE Skincare ORMEDIC Lip Enhancement Complex + The 2Bandits Tiered Catchall Tray ($69.00)
- The2Bandits™ Tiered Catchall Tray + Zoë Ayla® Eco-Friendly Comb Set + Earth Harbor MARINA Biome Brightening Ampoule ($92.99) See the Add On’s section for more information about these items.
I was hoping to get the dpHUE Dry Shampoo Powder because I had gotten it before and really love how well it works for me. The bracelet in that bundle is also really cute. Unfortunately, this is the only bundle that was sold out really quickly.
I did get the last bundle listed and there is more information about all of those items below.
Additional items were $10.00 in this category.
Fall 2021 Add On’s
After skipping add-on’s last season, I kinda adding a bit more than I probably should have this season.
The prices were just too good to pass up for items that I really wanted or needed.
Here we go!
Arhaus Waffle Knit 100% Cotton Throw Blanket
I added on this blanket from the first category because my teenage son really wanted it, even though he owns a ton of blankets already.
Once it arrived, he didn’t think it was soft. He’s used to super soft materials and this is a cotton waffle knit blanket.
It actually is soft and a nice weight for a blanket.
The blanket is a forest green and since he didn’t love it, now I’m not sure where I’m going to put it. It may end up in my car, my husbands office or our formal living room that we have yet to furnish.
It will definitely get used regardless where it ends up.
This blanket was made in India.
FRYE Bamboo Boot Socks – 2 Pairs ($24.00)
Tall boots are a fall staple, so of course I just had to have these boot socks.
I actually have a few pairs to go with my brown boots, but recently purchased black boots that these gray and black socks will pair perfectly with.
These are so soft and I love that they are thinner so they don’t feel bulky under the boots.
These socks are made in China.
Purlisse Pumpkin + Ginger Mud Mask ($48.00)
I wish I understood why I just had to have this when I already have a pumpkin mask that I’ve yet to use from another brand.
But alas, here we are. It smells so good. I haven’t used it yet, but it is a charcoal mask so I expect it to work best in my t-zone area were my skin is more oily.
Looks like I’m going to be doing a lot of pumpkin facials this fall!
This product is made in the USA (yay!).
The2Bandits™ Tiered Catchall Tray
I didn’t really want this tray, but it was part of the bundle that I added on in the last of the categories. I did want the other two items.
This is a 3-tier plastic tray that swivels. Each tray is lined with felt and there is a handle that looks like wood but is actually plastic, as well.
I don’t know the exact value, but there is a 4-tier tray with a real wood handle made by the same brand for sale on Anthropologie for $24.00.
I will be passing this one along.
This tray is made in China.
Zoë Ayla® Eco-Friendly Comb Set
I wanted these combs simply because I didn’t have one.
The finer tooth comb will work okay for me, thought the material is a bit thick. I do like that it has a pointed end for separating hair.
The wider tooth comb might work better for my youngest son. He has curlier hair.
Overall it’s a nice set.
This product is made in China.
Earth Harbor MARINA Biome Brightening Ampoule
I’ve actually used this product before and really like it. I chose it because I wanted to do a blog review for it and needed photos since the first bottle I had is now gone.
It’s more of a oil than a serum, so even though it says it’s a brightening product, I used it at night.
I might give it another go for daytime use once the weather cools off. My skin tends to get dryer than so this may work better.
This product is made in the USA (yay!).
pmd Personal Microderm Pro ($49.00)
I have been eyeing this device for a really long time so when it showed up as a Boost My Box option, I bit the bullet and purchased it.
Because of our moving and all around crazy life at the moment, I haven’t gotten a chance to use it yet, but I’m super excited to try it out.
This product is also made in China.
FoxyBae Rose Gold 25mm Curling Wand ($15.00)
I bought this from the Boost My Box section, as well. I thought I left my curling iron in a hotel after we had to leave our home because of the garage fire we had.
After 8 months of not having a curling iron, I order this one and then a couple weeks later find out that the people who took our electronics also took my curling iron.
Now I have two, but I’ve good things about this brand so I’m going to use it and see which I like better.
This curling wand was made in China.
FabFitFun Fall 2021 Final Thoughts
It’s much easier to say that I am happy with my box when I was able to choose all of the items. This season, I was pretty. happy overall with all of the selections and love how many options are in each category. My wallet, maybe wasn’t as happy.
But, since reviews are just a matter of personal opinion, let’s talk about value of the Fall 2021 FabFitFun box.
- Is this seasons box worth the $45.00 that I paid for it ($49.99 for seasonal subscribers)? In my opinion, yes. I received $328.94 worth of items that I got to choose. For me, what makes a box “worth it” is if I will use the large majority of the products. This season, that answer is a definite yes.
- Next, does this box fit the season? I really believe that this fox practically screams fall. They did a great job curating season-appropriate items.
- Does this box hit on Fab, Fit, and Fun? My answer is usually the same. There are always plenty of “fab” and “fun” items, but the “fit” section is usually lacking. This month there was a jumprope and workout lessons, but there were a lot of people upset that the company is a MLM. I suppose the backpack and scarf also fit into the “fit” category.
Now the long wait until the winter box begins. FabFitFun has plenty of themed and edit sales planned in the next two months, as well.
