Here are the activewear outfit choices that are available for August 2021 over at Ellie. There are 18 outfits to choose from this month. Some of them are repeats, so if you were ever torn between a few options, you might be able to snag a past favorite this month. I believe that maybe 10 are new.

You can head over to the Ellie website to sign up and choose one of these outfits (if available) until the end of the month. If you are a current subscriber, you must choose or skip by August 4.

There’s a good mix of pants and shorts. Most outfits include a light t-shirt or tank top, but a few come with long sleeves this month.

The accessories this month, if you have a 5-piece subscription, are a 2 pound pair of hand weight and a couple of packs of after workout wipes.

I’m still on a 3-item subscription, and it was tempting to switch back to the 5-items this month, but I talked myself out of it.

August 2021 Ellie Outfit Choices

The outfit choices this month are:

You can definitely see that Ellie is transitioning into fall a bit with these choices, though most outfits are still perfect for the hot weather we are still having.

Initially I thought I might skip, but now I’m pretty sure I’m going to go with the Royal Run set. I’ve really been loving plum colors lately and don’t think I have any black shorts, surprisingly.

What Is Ellie?

Let’s first talk about what Ellie actually is. Ellie is a monthly activewear subscription with the option to just get the activewear or activewear and accessories and equipment.

You get to choose your outfit from at least 12-18 different options, with some being repeats from prior months.

There is also the ability shop previous collections (it does cost a bit more and only includes the clothing) and must have essentials that are all marked down significantly.

How Does Ellie Work?

Ellie chooses and outfit for you each month, but you have the ability to go in and change it or skip the month all together. You just need to log in between the 1st and the 4th of the month to do so.

I have not received any reminder emails to do this. So far, I’ve just remembered to check on the 1st of the month because I’m so excited to see what’s new, but it might be a good idea to set a reminder on your calendar.

How Much Does An Ellie Subscription Cost?

There are 3 different subscription options:

The 2-Item plan is $39.95 a month and includes a top and bottoms.
The 3-Item plan is $44.95 a month and includes a top, bottoms, and a sports bra.
The 5-Item plan is $49.95 a month and includes a top, bottoms, a sports bra, and 2 pieces of accessories or equipment (like dry towels, a sports bag, workout bands etc.)

Remember, your first outfit is 25% off, regardless of which subscription you choose.

For me, it made sense to sign up for the 5-Item plan because I knew I wanted the 3 pieces of clothing. It’s only $5.00 more for the 2 additional items.

This is considerably less than other fitness wear subscriptions, so the question becomes, “How’s the quality?”

Marika Layla Long Sports Bra in Potent Purple

I love that this sports bra is a little on the longer side. I don’t really like to show my stomach off so I always wear a shirt or jacket over my bra, but this one doesn’t show nearly as much.

This is a medium support bra which is perfect for me at this time. It’s super soft and supportive. I love the deep plum color, as well.

This particular style is not currently available on Marika’s website, however, similar sports bras are priced around $50.00.

Balance Collection Becca 5″ Hottie in Black

Who wears short shorts?

These are definitely short, but very comfortable and they definitely allow for more flxibility.

They have a 4 inch waist band so these shorts along with the bra don’t leave much stomach showing. And…they have pockets too!

These shorts are not currently available on Marika’s website (Marika also carries Balance Collection), this similar pair is regularly priced at $50.00, but on sale for $34.99.

Marika Wynn Tank in Potent Purple

This tank top matches the sports bra perfectly and it’s just as soft.

Even though it is a dark color, it is very lightweight and pretty sheer. I always order a size up for a looser fit.

This tank top is originally $55.00 on Marika’s website, but is currently on sale for $22.99. Most colors, including this Potent Purple, are sold out.

Final Thoughts

As always, I am really happy with my new activewear set from Ellie. Buying this set in individual pieces would cost way more than the $45.00 that I paid. Ellie is always an amazing deal for such nice workout clothing!

While, I haven’t been working out much lately due to being displaced from our home since January, we are finally moving back in this month and I am ready to get back into a normal routine!

These cute, comfortable sets make it more fun, as silly as that may sound. I can’t wait to wear them all much more regularly.
